More Than A Name
Strike Axe Coffee draws its name from a powerful legacy. Chief Strike Axe was a respected leader of the Osage Nation, known for his wisdom, strength, and tireless efforts to protect the rights and culture of his people.
At a time when the Osage and other Native nations faced immense pressure from colonization, Chief Strike Axe stood firm, negotiating treaties, building alliances, and preserving the traditions that define Osage identity. His leadership helped guide his people through a period of great change, always with an unwavering commitment to their heritage and future.
We chose the name Strike Axe to honor that spirit, resilient, grounded, and forward-looking. Just as Chief Strike Axe protected what mattered most, we aim to create a space that respects the past, welcomes the present, and offers something real to everyone who walks through our doors.
